5 Star Plumbing

My overall experience with 5 Star has not been good. They don't stand by their product and service. We had to rebuild our house from the derecho and the furnace was emitting CO2 over 1000 PPM outside a foot from the house on start up to the point that while I was working on the house doing tiling and rinsing off tools 20 feet away outside at the faucet I felt nauseous and ended up calling the gas company. In turn on start the CO2 reader went to the max reading of 999 PPM. In turn we were advised to replace the unit. (Again this is during construction). Against all our general contractors efforts, they refused due to no regulations on outdoor emissions. They wouldn't even buy back the unit. So we had to pay thousands of dollars to have another company install a new unit. Still not a credit or any compensation. And of course insurance wouldn't pay for a new one. Now, a year and 3 weeks after we moved in on temporary occupancy my husband and I hear what sounds like water dripping in the ceiling in the basement. We contact our general who has 5 Star come out the next day and they cut the ceiling open only to find that one of the hot water lines wasn't shimmed properly and the line was rubbing on the subfloor when it expanded. So yes dodged a huge bullet that there wasn't water in the ceiling but then because there wasn't actually water leaking they won't pay for the repair of the hole still in my ceiling and sent a service call invoice to my general since it's past the "1 year" warranty. Just hate sending anymore money to them amid the thousands they have already cost me for an unsafe unit, anyone want to buy it? I think it is just junk because I can't in my right mind sell it to someone who then may be negatively impacted by the high levels of CO 2. Buyer beware.

I was surprised to receive same day service from Five Star Plumbing in Anamosa today. The young man, Dakota was professional, yet personable. I was impressed with his ingenuity in finding a way to solve a problem, and for taking time to explain the how and why of things he did. Ive been a customer for several years and have always been pleased with their service and the young men and women who represent the company.

We received very prompt service when we called. The work was done by a young man named Dakota and he did an outstanding job for us. After repair the faucet operates better than it has for the last decade +. We are also very appreciative that Dakota discovered weak sections in our existing drain piping under the sink and professionally replaced them before they failed. We are very satisfied customers and we will be utilizing this shop for all of our plumbing needs from now on.

I have used 5 Star Plumbing for multiple plumbing issues in my home over the last few years. I have had leaks, clogs, you name it! Each time I call with an issue 5 Star is very prompt in sending someone to my home to resolve the issue. Each and every employee I have interacted with has been extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend 5 Star Plumbing.

A company with great integrity. I called late morning with a plumbing issue and was promised someone would come that same day to repair the problem. Unexpectedly, the business had a rather busy day and the day's repairs had taken longer than anticipated. Around 4:45pm, I received a call from a 5 Star employee who immediately apologized for the delay and stated that he would be willing to rush over to take care of my problem and regardless of the time of the service call and the length of the call, I would not be charged extra for an after hours job!! They easily could've called to reschedule for the next day, making me wait with my plumbing disaster, or charged me extra for an overtime fee, but they didn't! He got to my home, fixed the problem within 20 minutes and the price was right!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY for going above and beyond for their customers instead of making my life miserable even if for only one more day.

5-Star Plumbing exceeded my expectations! When we had an issue, they gave high quality repairs, and also made sure to explain to me as the customer what was going on so I never felt in the dark about the situation. I have not found another place that left me feeling this relaxed in the fate of my plumbing needs!

Within an hour of my phone call to fix a leak from my jet tub a technician was at my home. His work was effecient, he was knowledgable and the price was right!. In addition to this, I addressed another minor plumbing issue in the main bath and he fixed it. Excellent in my eyes. Thanks to 5 Star for a job well done.

Plumbers came to my apartment to fix a pipe, broke a candle and have had me jump through hoops about replacing it. I was told 2 times I would be called and no one from their office contacted me, I had to call every time to get any information about replacing it. While the plumbers were here one of them directly insulted and belittled the other calling him names bordering on psychological abuse while cursing and slamming my door repeatedly. Overall very unprofessional.
